Dental Crowns
Crown is tooth shaped cap that is fixed over the tooth to resize and reshape as well as improve appearance of the tooth. Dental crowns are among several restorative options used to fill gaps between teeth and help restore smiles as well as function of teeth.

our in-house design process utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and materials, ensuring optimal results allowing patients to experience comfort and efficiency throughout the crown placement procedure.
Procedure
After complete exam is done and full treatment plan is set, your next visit is the first step in making your crown. A digital impression of your teeth and bite is taken using intra-oral digital scanner.
The area is then numbed with local anesthetic; the tooth is shaped using drill to remove decay and unsound tooth structure, eventually making it smaller in order to accommodate for the crown. After shaping, another scan is taken to record changes to prepared tooth. The scans are sent to our in- house CAD/CAM lab for fabrication of a 3D model. A design of your new crown is completed in respect to teeth shape, size and color to make it as natural as it could be in your mouth. Your zirconium restoration is then milled from a block of material that matches the color of your natural teeth.
The prepared tooth might become sensitive, so a temporary crown is fabricated and cemented with temporary cement to protect it until your next visit.
In this visit, the temporary crown is removed; the permanant crown is placed over the reshaped tooth to ensure its fit, color and occlusion as well as determine the closure of all margins with an X-ray. Usually mild adjustments are needed before cementation. After the adjustments, the crown is cemented with permanent cement. The dental crown should then feel natural and comfortable in your mouth.
